La Shasta Boutique
La Shasta Shoes is a proudly South African brand with our shoes being designed and manufactured in Park Rynie, a small resort town on the South Coast of KwaZulu-Natal in South Africa.
The business was founded in 1974 by Mr Dhanabalan Kesiveloo (Pungie) as a footwear manufacturing business. Mr Kesiveloo was born and raised in Pietermaritzburg KwaZulu-Natal and had started his career in the shoe industry at the age of 20.
Sadly, Mr Kesiveloo passed on in the year 2008 but before his passing he named the business La Shasta Shoes. After Mr Kesiveloo’s passing his sons continued to run the business. His eldest son Jody Kesiveloo had started designing new sandals in keeping with his father’s ethnic designs but incorporated new colours and ideas to keep up with the current trends. It proved successful seeing that both young and old were catered for.
Mr Jody Kesiveloo uses only the highest quality material and provides good workmanship to every pair made, ensuring customer satisfaction. He also caters for persons who require custom made sandals. All the leather uppers are made from the finest full grain leather which is sourced from the best suppliers.
Mr Jody Kesiveloo is currently one of the few shoe manufacturing and designing persons in South Africa and he is continuing with his father’s legacy. In September 2022 Mr Jody Kesiveloo opened the doors of his boutique store in Scottburgh. La Shasta Boutique stocks exclusive South African products which are designed and manufactured by himself and a few other individuals from South Africa with all products being proudly South African.
